I went to Dr. Poulos at the beginning of this year for a small procedure, I had gone to the spa upstairs and just loved the girls there so thought I would give the doctor a try. Well for one I had to wait a long long time, about an hour or so, but I was very patient and didn't complain (you would think the doctor would of offered something small) but that was ok I just wanted my procedure done. The girls downstairs were nice enough but then the doctor came in the room and the mood just went stiff. I told her that I wanted to start small (didn't not want any major surgery YET lol) and without asking my reasons why she said, well your going to need the whole job you know... I told her down the road I would think about it (I didn't need it yet at all) but she kept talking about the surgery and when I was stern and said no, I swear she seemed insulted and just grabbed the needle and starting doing the injections very fast, unlike how the girls upstairs take their time and really check for balance. I bruised very bad and now have a permanent blue hue on both sides of my face. I will never go back to her again!! I feel she is trying to push people into more expensive procedures other what we want done. I understand that any procedure has side effects ect... but she was the only one that left permanent problems, I just wont go back.
Be aware that she is an artist but she does have a brutal unpleasant personality.
At one follow-up visit she actually told me that I shouldn't go to the office for every little thing that I may think is not right ( I went once due to redness in the incision) she didn't have the staff for those visits. I was mortified as I had never had surgery before of any kind.
Her bedside manners are left to be desired. Not sure if it was due to my surgery being covered by insurance, but she never answered my questions with care. Actually she made me feel very unintelligent and not worth the time she was dedicating to my case.
On my last visit she asked me for my new bra size and I was so excited that I answered I was now a C cup vs a DD. Her response was: “ I didn't ask you for the cup size but the full bra size.” Once again I was mortified and left feeling so unintelligent for a women with 2 degrees.
Before I get into the negative I must say the results of my surgery are Excellent and I am very satisfied with my new breasts. Her office is very relaxing and beautifully done.
I highly DO NOT recommend Dr. Poulos. When you come to her with questions and concerns after surgery she makes you feel as if your concerns are not worthy of her attention and she has zero compassion. She just wants your money and for you go get out the door! Horrible personality and staff is also unfriendly. Huge regret ! Experienced problems after surgery also. Did she care? Nope! "Get out, your fine!"
